California's Assembly Public Safety Committee Approves Anti-Trafficking Bill

California's Assembly Public Safety Committee approved SB 557 yesterday. The legislation allows courts to seize any property traffickers used in the course of committing their crime, and instates an additional civil fine up to $25,000.

The Senate Bill was authored by Senator Leland Yee (D-San Francisco/San Mate). Assembly Appropriations Committee will now consider the bill.
