If You Suspect A Case of Slavery...
Here are some of the questions CAST will ask if you call us to report a suspected case of slavery.
- What is your name and phone number?
- Can you directly contact the victim's?
- Do you suspect the victim is being abused?
- Does the victim want to leave her situation?
- What language does the victim speak?
- What type of work does the victim do?
- At what address is the victim being held?
- Who are the victim's employers?
If a victim's situation is life-threatening, call 911 and report her location to police. You should also call CAST at 213-365-1906 during regular business hours to inform us of the situation so that we can try to make sure the victim's case is investigated and treated as a case of slavery.
