Lorena M. Sánchez

Lorena leads Cast’s development and communications work with the belief that the stories we tell, and how we tell them, are a critical part of advocacy. She oversees strategic relationships, fundraising, and the narrative work that connects Cast’s mission to the people and resources that sustain it. Lorena brings more than 15 years of nonprofit communications and development experience, including serving as Chief Development and Communications Officer at the Downtown Women’s Center, where she built campaigns rooted in trauma-informed and ethical storytelling. Her work has spanned borders, including time at the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development in Paris, grounding her in how narrative, policy, and resources intersect on a global scale.
